Jessica's Ghost
From the backgrounds of St Helens and Liverpool, folk band Jessicas Ghost are making music that may not have that mainstream appeal, but it reel's you in with secluded lullabies and luscious lyrics.
Their sound branches into Celtic proportions with the song Disguise. From the string plucking and the quick shuffling drum beat it makes a comprehensive arrangement worthy of the Irish's adulation.
Nowhere To Run is a song that builds itself up for the chorus to showcase the gorgeous voice of the woman we only know as Emma. Whilst Sarah is a sweet, float-away melodic tune that has you pulled in from the start. Emma's voice is still a strong audible point that makes you want to hear more of her. And its clever that the rest of the band have made their main instruments, like the strings and percussion fit perfectly around her voice.
If you would like to see Jessicas Ghost live they are playing in the North West region right through til May.
