Countryside
Bristols lo-fi esque, indie, ambient concoction, Countryside are an act to watch out for in the south west region. The all male quartet have supported a flurry of signed bands such as Infadels & Silversun Pickups around the Bristol area and now with their new EP released. Click.Subimit.Send EP they have the starting point to distribute their music to a wider audience.
The light airy vocals of Trippin' Sunshine are sensationalised by the buzzing & beeping synths that are littered around with the chainsaw powered guitar riffs. Estuary is much more tilted towards the ambient side of Countryside's work. The dreamy, shoegazeness of the song blows into new proportions with the wispy vocals and quaint mellow nature of their sound.
Then on the flipside you have got the upbeat, All The Lights Are Out. The drumbeat has a sporadic slow to quick pace during the chorus and you may encounter somewhat of a guitar solo along the way too.
If you are in the vicinity of Bristol, you will be able to catch Countryside play at The Cooler during the end of this month and at the start of the next.
